Learning about Centering Prayer

Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer or Christian meditation. The practice of centering prayer seeks to still the activity of the mind in order to experience God’s presence.  This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. The focus of Centering Prayer is the deepening of our relationship with the living Christ.  Our practice is based on the teachings of Father Thomas Keating, a Trappist monk, and the international organization Contemplative Outreach, Ltd.
